Geometric Measure A
• Position: Follow directions (forward, back, turn)
• Length: Measure using informal units, divide lengths to find halves and quarters

• Position: Explore simple maps, create pathways between familiar locations
• Length: Compare and order lengths using informal and formal units

Data A
• Gather data using tally marks, lists, symbols
• Use pictures as symbols to represent data
• Use comparative language to describe data

• Whole numbers to thousands: read, represent on number line
• Count forwards and backwards by 10s / 100s
• Partition 4 digit numbers

• Rearrange digits to change size of a number
• Partition 6 digit numbers
• Decimals: tenths and hundreths using diagrams, number lines
• Decimals: role of zero in different positions
• Make connection between fractions and decimals

Geometric Measure A
• Use directional language to orient a route on a map
• Locate positions using horizontal + vertical references and array structure
• Measure and compare length using m, cm, mm
• Angles: arms and vertex, explain that length of arm does not affect angle, right angle

Geomteric Measure B
• Create and interpret grid maps using grid references
• Use compass directions (N, S, E, W) and relate to amounts of turn
• Convert between m, cm, mm

• Use 4 quadrants in the Carteisan coordinate plane
• Decimal representations of length and distances
